RUINED

Necole and I were talking yesterday and she made an interesting statement. She said "once your in ministry, your ruined for life, because no matter what happens, you will always want to do ministry,"

And...She is right. And that really sucks, I guess?

It's hard to go back to normal things in life such as 9-5 jobs, or real estate etc. I think those who are called to ministry have to face the music. It is what it is. Man, its tough. But its true...I'm ruined for life. But I'm OK with that!

But what is "ministry"?

I read this quotation today...

“The most common self-inflicted put-down is ‘I am not a pastor—I am just a layperson.’ This is all part of a clever satanic scheme to neutralize apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers along with the entire army of disciples, already positioned in the marketplace.” – Ed Silvoso, Anointed for Business

Good quote, I read that book about 5 years ago and it really impacted my theology...

Now, to be honest, I know "everyone is a minister."

And I feel like I do ministry all the time.

But, I can't focus on just doing a secular (hate that word) job without thinking about some sort of ministry.

Like for one, I've only spoken 1 time in 8 months. I have a gift to speak...So, that's kinda what I'm saying.

It's hard to stay out of the "official" ministry realm.

However, I'm currently exploring more ministry options that I think are more in line with NT theology. Then say the church plant full-time thingy.

I hear what you're saying. I pray the Lord give you strength during this season.
